Having previously thrown 2 shutouts in his first 2 games, Bill followed up his 3rd start of the ISC World tournament with an 11 inning no hitter, finally surrending a bunt single in the 12th. Bill's team went on to lose the game 2-0 in 12 innings.

PITCHING COLUMN IN SOFTBALL MAGAZINE
Softball Magazine (www.softballmag.com) recruits Bill Hillhouse to write a monthly pitching column in their magazine. Softball Magazine is published ten times a year.

The House of Pitching DVD: "Building the House: The Mechanics
and Fundamentals of Pitching" will be on sale for the first
time at the Indianapolis clinic on October 24, 2004. The DVD will
be available at clinics while they last. The DVD will be for sale
online the end of November.

ISF hires Bill Hillhouse as the pitching coach for the
Phillipines National Teams. Hillhouse will commute between the US
and the Phillipines November to mid-December preparing the pitchers
for the World Asian games in January.

Send video/DVD footage of your pitcher to me for analysis and advice.
I will need to see front, back and side shots of the pitcher along
with someone telling me what pitches she is throwing. I will evaluate
mechanics and style and offer feedback on ways to improve.

I wanted to AGAIN apologize for the problems regarding
the coaching. As many of you remember from having your daughters,
the first couple of weeks are difficult. My situtation is compounded
because my wife is from Denmark which means, that's where her family
is. So, we are basically doing this on our own and don't have a
lot of extra help. So, I'm forced to take care of BOTH of them as
best I can while trying to juggle everything else, including softball.
In addition to that, please keep in mind... this is my first year
doing the coaching thing full time. I was unprepared for the High
School season in the sense that organizing a coaching session is
EXTREMELY difficult. Rain outs, practices, etc. make it very hard
to coordinate having a few students come to
Conneaut at a time. Due to gas prices and demands at
home, its really just not possible to come to Conneaut (or anywhere
outside of Erie) for just one student while keeping the costs to
the minimum price they are now. I know this situation has led to
some last minute cancellations and I'm VERY SORRY!!!!!! You have
no idea! But, I do hope everyone understands the predicament.
Having said that, summer is fast approaching. When school is out,
I will gladly be able to work with whomever wants to during the
DAYTIME. Nights will be difficult as I coach a women's team and
play my own games on Tues and Thurs nights. You are all welcome
to come to my games... a couple people did that last year! Weekends
are nearly impossible as I travel almost every Friday to touranments
around the country, occassionally I'll have a few extra days out
of town if I play in Europe or something over a weekend.
If you can, please let me know if you have a day in advance that
you know you will be off and would like
pitch. Then I can begin to coordinate a schedule
again.
I apologize for the problems, again!
